On July 6, a diverse and talented group of women will travel to Washington, D.C., to take part in the D.C. Project, a nonpartisan event aimed at highlighting the importance of the Second Amendment from the female perspective. The event was created by Team Benelli Captain and former law enforcement officer Dianna Muller in collaboration with A Girl & A Gun. For two days, a group consisting of one female volunteer from each state will meet with legislators to share how the Second Amendment directly impacts their everyday lives through things like competition shooting sports, business, hunting and self-defense.

“Female gun owners are diverse, and have individualized stories … These stories need to be shared, as they are representative of many within legislators’ constituencies,” Muller explained.

The event will culminate with a rally at the U.S. Capitol West Front Lawn at 2 p.m. on July 8. Event organizers are inviting all women to attend the rally and make their voices heard.
