In yet another example of a good guy with a gun stopping a bad guy with a gun, a 71-year-old man used his handgun on Sunday to thwart two armed robbers in Hampton, Va.

Hampton police said 18-year-old Jafari Mitchell and a 15-year-old accomplice approached the man, pulled a gun and demanded money. Fearing for his life, the man pulled out his own gun and shot Mitchell.

According to local media reports, no charges are being sought against the man who shot the attempted robber. The robber’s accomplice was later arrested and has been charged with attempted robbery and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
