Washington Post Seeks Truth, Spouts Lies Instead

With all due respect to the Washington Post fact checker—and there is very little respect due, in this case—the recent decision to give the NRA four Pinocchios for saying Hillary Clinton “doesn’t believe in your right to own a gun at home for self-defense” smacks of anti-gun bias and partisan political opportunism.

Consider a few simple facts: The Supreme Court’s 2008 Heller decision was all about whether Washington, D.C., residents had a constitutional right to own a gun in their home for self-defense. The court ruled they did. Clinton has said in no uncertain terms that the court “was wrong” in that ruling. More recently, she’s dodged a question about whether the Second Amendment protects an individual right to bear arms.

No matter how the pointy-headed prevaricators at the Post try to explain what Clinton might have actually meant, the fact is that she said what she said, and she believes what she believes. Remember, this is the same Washington Post that recently gave President Barack Obama only three Pinocchios for saying it “is easier for a teenager to buy a Glock than get his hands on a computer or even a book.” Can you say, “liberal media bias”?

The Incomparable, Inimitable Phil Schreier—1962-2025

The NRA took a serious hit on December 28th. We lost Phil Schreier, director of NRA Museums. He did everything the doctors asked of him and then some. But it wasn’t enough. Leukemia won, and we all lost.

No More Tax on Suppressors!

When President Donald Trump (R) signed the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBB) into law on July 4, 2025, he scheduled the end of the burdensome $200 excise tax imposed on suppressors, short-barreled firearms and “any other weapons” as defined by the National Firearms Act (NFA). In his inauguration speech as the new mayor of New York City, Zohran Mamdani said, behind his characteristically easy smile, “We will replace the frigidity of rugged individualism with the warmth of collectivism.”
