When Gun-Ban Groups Pay For Polls, What Results Would You Expect?

A poll commissioned by Gabby Giffords’ anti-gun group, Americans for Responsible Solutions, is attempting to show that the majority of gun owners across America believe NRA has been “overtaken by lobbyists.” The poll was initially reported in POLITICO. ARS reports its “key findings,” but the link to full results is (conveniently?) missing.

You can rest assured, though, that any poll paid for by anti-gunners will return anti-gun results. Is NRA really “overtaken by lobbyists” … or does the organization simply employ effective lobbyists who have thwarted the mission of ARS and other gun control groups one too many times?

Jennifer Baker, NRA spokeswoman, reminded ARS that gun owners have already spoken—very loudly. “The NRA's strength is derived from our 5 million members and the tens of millions of Second Amendment supporters who vote. The majority of Americans oppose gun control, and they made their voices heard this past November,” she said in a statement to POLITICO. “This was a poll paid for by a gun control group, so it's not surprising that the so-called ‘results’ further their agenda.”
