President Vows To Push Forward On Gun Control

We’ve reported several times how we believe President Barack Obama won’t give up on pushing more restrictive gun-control laws on law-abiding Americans. Now Obama has confirmed that assertion.

In an interview published yesterday in GQ magazine, Obama told interviewer Bill Simmons, “I hope so,” in response to a question whether gun control would be the “dominant” issue on his agenda next year. “We have this weird habit in this culture of mourning and, you know, 48, 72 hours of wall-to-wall coverage, and then … suddenly we move on,” Obama said. “And I will do everything I can to make sure that there’s a sustained attention paid to this thing.”

President Obama’s assertion that he’ll keep pushing for more gun laws, which would only affect the law-abiding, should serve notice to all gun owners that we need to make sure we replace him with a more Second Amendment-friendly president next fall—specifically, not Hillary Clinton, Martin O’Malley or Bernie Sanders.
