More Media Malice

In an apparent effort to demonize the NRA by associating its members with sex trafficking, The Tennessean ran a long feature on the last day of the NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits in Nashville with the headline, “Big conventions, like NRA, can draw sex trafficking.”

While the story was likely an important one, detailing how sex trafficking tends to increase when large conventions come to town, it did not make a single connection between any visiting NRA member and sex trafficking. In fact, it didn’t even make a single accusation against any individual NRA member concerning sex trafficking.

Instead, it appears that The Tennessean might have chosen to pair NRA and sex trafficking in the headline simply to take a swipe at the organization.
