Ohio Store Manager Stops Robbery

posted on October 17, 2016

In yet another case of defensive gun use during which no shots were ever fired, an Ohio grocery store manager used his legally owned firearm to stop the robbery of his establishment.

According to local media reports, a man wearing sunglasses, a hooded sweatshirt and gloves waited until the store was empty, then approached the store manager, who was operating the cash register. “Once everybody leaves, this guy comes up to the counter,” the manager told local police. “He passes the note. It’s in really bad handwriting, so I can’t make it out. I ask him, ‘What does it say?’ and he says, “Give me whatever you got to get the register before anybody gets hurt.’”

That’s when the manager, who is licensed to carry a firearm, grabbed his own gun from behind the counter and held the robber until police could arrive.
