EU Gun-Ban Advocate Suspected Of Illegal Arms Trafficking

Jean-Luc Stassen is managing director of the Belgian Proof House in Liege. The proof house is in charge of the destruction of firearms seized by the justice system. Stassen is also a gun-control advocate, having previously spoken out in favor of gun registries and magazine restrictions.

Last week, Stassen was arrested on charges of forgery and embezzlement. Additionally, evidence suggests that he was involved in illegal arms trafficking. More than 260 guns that were slated for destruction by Stassen’s Proof House were instead removed from the Belgian Central Firearms Registry and sold on the black market.

This type of hypocritical behavior from anti-gunners is nothing new, unfortunately. These elites work to exert more control over citizens while they play by a different set of rules. Ex-California State Sen. Leland Yee is the perfect example of this. The outspoken gun-control champion is currently spending time in prison for weapons trafficking.
