A Democratic Virginia state senator is proposing that the commonwealth implement a gun registration system—the longtime “holy grail” of gun-ban advocates.
Sen. Barbara Favola—who, incidentally, says she doesn’t want to take anyone’s firearms—says she believes creating a database of gun owners and the guns they own could help police in solving crimes, so she wants to see a feasibility study for the plan. We are sure, however, that deep down she is aware of the fact that gun registration always leads to confiscation wherever it is implemented.
Of course, Republicans in Virginia are also aware of that fact. “My guess is that there will not be a single Republican who will vote for this bill,” state Sen. Richard Black told WMAL. “The whole purpose of [the study] is to pave the way for the confiscation of firearms from law-abiding citizens.”
