CA Gun-Banners Hijack Four Bills

Last week, anti-gun legislators in the Golden State hijacked four bills and amended them into anti-gun bills of serious consequence to firearm owners and Second Amendment supporters.

They include Assembly Bill 156, which now requires the attorney general to maintain information about ammunition transactions and vendor licenses; Assembly Bill 857, which now serves as a restriction on curios, relics and home-built firearms; Assembly Bill 1135, which reclassifies certain semi-automatic weapons to assault weapons; and Assembly Bill 1511, which would severely limit the ability of loaning a firearm between two law-abiding citizens; for example, during a hunting trip or for home protection.

We’ll keep you posted on the status of all these measures as they are considered by the California legislature.
