Unsurprisingly, Shannon Watts Also Blames The NRA

Actor Wil Wheaton wasn’t the only one rushing to judgment in the aftermath of Monday’s courthouse shooting in Michigan. Shannon Watts, head of Michael Bloomberg-funded Moms Demand Action, obligingly sprung into action as well. Her Twitter rant indignantly declared that “THIS is outcome of @NRA’s dangerous agenda of guns for anyone, anywhere, anytime: no questions asked.” Apparently Watts would like to disarm deputies, just like she wants to disarm law-abiding citizens?

In truth, Watts is a master media manipulator who knows all too well the importance of getting out ahead of a story. Details don’t matter, those can come later. So when the news would eventually report that a handcuffed felon snatched a gun from a deputy and murdered two bailiffs, that would all be after the fact. By that time, Watts’ message would have been blasted around the digital universe.

And retractions just don’t happen in this demanding mom’s world. Instead, Watts sits back and congratulates herself on another tragedy used for her own benefit.
