A female 7-Eleven clerk in Winchester, Va., turned the tables on an armed robber late Saturday night.

According to local police, Kahlil Kirton entered the store shortly before midnight and demanded money. He then forced the female clerk outside at gunpoint.

However, police said the victim was able to retrieve her personal gun to defend herself and shot Kirton several times in self-defense. Kirton, who is being treated at a Winchester Medical Center, is being charged with armed robbery, abduction, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and wearing a mask in public.
