This morning, NRA Executive Vice President and CEO Wayne LaPierre sat side by side with President Donald Trump at the White House. During the historic meeting, the President called on LaPierre and the members of the NRA to lead the charge for the confirmation of Neil Gorsuch as the next U.S. Supreme Court Justice. If progress in this confirmation is impeded, the president encouraged Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to “go nuclear” and toss out the Democratic filibuster.

President Trump also took the time to personally thank the NRA for its crucial role in his historic election. This acknowledgement shows just how powerful the NRA and its 5 million members can be.
