After a year of left-wing “success” on criminal-justice issues, an increasing prosecutorial indifference to violent crime and escalating anti-police rhetoric, America’s urban residents are reaping what their politicians have sown.

There is a central hypocrisy at the heart of the gun-control effort. Gun-control-supporting politicians, the Hollywood elite and billionaire tycoons will advocate to disarm ordinary Americans, all the while enjoying the security that armed men with guns provide.

In April, the U.S. Supreme Court agreed to hear the NRA-backed case of New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. Corlett. This case presents the court with a historic opportunity to affirm the right to bear arms in public for self-defense.

Many NRA members are aware of the work that ILA does on Capitol Hill and in state houses across the country.

I’m going to be perfectly blunt: The next two years are going to be rough for those of us who cherish our right to keep and bear arms. The Senate is split at 50-50, with Vice President Kamala Harris poised to break any ties in favor of her boss, Joe Biden.

In late November, the Trump administration provided a lifeline to the gun industry with a rulemaking that would restore access to the products and services of America’s largest banks.

In the closing months of 2020, Americans were riveted by the dramatic spectacle of national politics, and with good reason. Freedom was on the ballot to a historic degree.

The year 2020 will be remembered as one of many ups and downs, both for gun owners and for the country at large.

This is it. Over the last several months, I hope I have made it as clear as possible how critical this year’s elections are to the preservation of the Second Amendment; and now it is time: Get Out And Vote!
