Harris Echoes Biden’s Anti-Freedom Agenda

Vice President Kamala Harris (D) recently laid out the Biden administration’s laundry list of anti-Second Amendment desires, and while none of it was new, none of it was good news, either.

Harris, it should be noted, was tipped to be Biden’s “leading voice” on the issue and, as such, it’s important to take what she says at face value, including what she recently said at an Everytown-sponsored event that was politically labeled as the “Gun Sense University.”

She was introduced by Everytown president John Feinblatt as being part of the “boldest gun-sense administration.” Harris was joined by Angela Ferrell-Zabala, executive director of Moms Demand Action, and Jason George, an actor whose qualifications are playing a doctor on television shows. Everytown, it should be noted, is at least partially funded by former New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg, whose gun-control-centric presidential campaign failed miserably. Further, Moms Demand Action is a subsidiary of Everytown.

Once on stage, Harris curiously said, “I believe in the Second Amendment,” and then proceeded to call for everything from bans on commonly owned semi-automatic firearms to red-flag laws to “universal” background checks. She also echoed Biden’s repeated calls to repeal the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act.

America’s 1st Freedom has reported on each of these issues multiple times, and has repeatedly explained that targeting law-abiding American gun owners and a lawful industry instead of the criminal element within society does nothing to stop crime.

Harris also parroted the dishonest notion that gun ownership is a “disease,” and claimed that “we need elected leaders to have the courage to act.” She said that she and Biden are “proud” to have been a part of passing the dishonestly named “Bipartisan Safer Communities Act” (BSCA), legislation that the NRA warned could be abused.

In fact, the BSCA has been abused by the Biden-Harris administration and recently. By twisting the words in the BSCA, the Biden administration has threatened to strip federal funding from schools for their archery and hunting programs—but Harris supposedly believes in the Second Amendment.

And then, after once again calling firearms ownership a “public-health issue,” Harris said “we cannot let them get away with politicizing this or pretending that this is some intellectual, ideological debate.”

“It’s not an intellectual debate,” added George, whose qualifications, again, are playing a doctor on television. “It’s not,” Harris agreed.

Then again, not many have called Kamala Harris an intellectual.

Despite the anti-freedom agenda of this administration, there has been good news since Biden and Harris took office, though none of it is thanks to them. Constitutional carry is now law in more than half the country, and since 2020, firearms ownership has skyrocketed, including among women and minorities.

One thing is certain, however; the Biden-Harris ticket, endorsed by just about every gun-control group, is making destruction of the Second Amendment—in contradiction to Harris’s claim of “belief” in it--a cornerstone of their 2024 campaign.
