Nine Line Apparel is partnering with the NRA to launch the exclusive Overwatch camouflage pattern.

Overwatch pattern is a revolutionary camouflage designed by Mossy Oak exclusively for the NRA. It is Mossy Oak’s pattern, developed entirely in 3D modeling, featuring the NRA logo embedded within the design to allow members to proudly show their support and passion for our right to keep and bear arms. Now, Nine Line Apparel will be featuring the Overwatch pattern.

“We are very happy to do this collaboration and work together moving forward,” Dana Smith, custom sales lead for Nine Line Apparel, told America’s 1st Freedom. Nine line is a military term for a medical evacuation of a soldier injured on the battlefield.

Founded in 2013, Savannah, Ga.-based Nine Line Apparel epitomizes its namesake by providing help for veterans across the country. In fact, that’s how the brand started.

Nine Line Apparel CEO Tyler Merritt’s West Point classmate was severely injured by an IED explosion in Afghanistan in 2012. This was the impetus for Merritt to create the Nine Line Foundation to improve the lives of countless veterans.

“When it started, we just made T-shirts in a garage to raise money for [Merritt’s] former classmate who was now disabled,” said Smith. “It just kept happening, another battalion or another unit. It became our mission after that to help veterans all over the country who are disabled, to be able to help them and give back to the community.”

Since then, Nine Line and the foundation have helped improve the lives of many veterans. Currently, the foundation is working to build Veterans Village. The objective of this project is to build 72 single-occupant units for homeless veterans in the Savannah area.

“We are a patriotic apparel company whose mission is to give back to the community,” Smith noted. The goal is to transition veterans into careers and ultimately, their own homes.

“We have partnered with the Chatham Savannah Authority for the Homeless to take on Phase 1 of their Cove at Dundee Project. This community of 24 homes will assist temporary homeless veterans in the area,” said Smith.
