A masked man in Greece, N.Y., entered a convenience store the morning of May 6. The store owner reportedly asked the man to take off the mask, but the suspect instead drew a gun and pointed it at the owner. The store owner, however, drew his own firearm and shot the suspect in the leg. The alleged assailant was transported to the hospital and faces charges of attempted robbery. On May 7, a man was loitering near a drive-up ATM at a credit union in Albuquerque, N.M. Two of the business’ employees confronted the man, but he allegedly punched one of them in the face. He then jumped onto the hood of a woman’s vehicle and demanded money; when she did not comply, he reportedly kicked in her windshield. He then approached another customer, who shot him in the leg.
