Last May, Doug Hamlin was elected to be the NRA’s new CEO and executive vice president at the 2024 NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits, held in Dallas, Texas. In his continued effort to reach out to NRA members, and to all of America’s gun owners, he has a few words to say.

“I am truly humbled to be elected by the NRA Board of Directors as the next Executive Vice President & CEO of the NRA,” said Hamlin at the time. “Our Association is at a decisive moment in our history, and the future of America and constitutional freedoms depends on the success of the NRA. I look forward to working with NRA staff to execute NRA’s gold-standard programs and to promoting political and public policies that are in the best interest of our members and all gun owners.”

For over a decade Hamlin had previously served this nation’s oldest civil-rights organization as the executive director of NRA Publications. Prior to that, he has extensive experience in the publishing industry, where he worked in numerous roles across the industry. Hamlin also served six years on active duty as a regular Marine Officer, including serving overseas with the Third Marine Division. He also has been active in veteran charitable causes.

Now, Hamlin has one goal in his new role: grow the National Rifle Association of America.

“There’s no question that we’ve contributed to society, and we will continue to do so,” said Hamlin. “We want you to go to NRA.org, join, get your friends to renew their memberships, donate to our organization, learn about the programs that are available, and support the organization. We need you to come home. We need you now more than ever before.”
