Arizona Rangers Receive NRA Foundation Grant

posted on April 4, 2018

A $4,592 NRA Foundation grant to the Arizona Rangers will be used to fund shooting range fees, law enforcement targets and training ammunition for members of the law enforcement organization.

“We are very excited about this support for our ‘Train the Trainers; Firearms Instructor Cadre’ proposal,” Maj. Mike Dargus, chairman of the Development Committee, told “I am pleased the NRA is making an investment in our organization’s 19 companies and the communities they represent.”

The NRA Foundation provides financial support to eligible projects, programs and organizations through its Grant Program. Since its inception in 1990, it has awarded more than $335 million in grants.

“Locally, the Show Low company has five NRA-certified firearms instructors that are part of the state’s cadre,” said Company Commander Capt. David E. Brown. “Since Rangers usually absorb all the cost for travel, training, equipment, firearms and ammunition, all in-kind and financial support from the Friends of NRA is greatly appreciated.”
