Cruze Hosie of Montdale, Pa., is 5 years old. He is the son of Nate and Tiffany Hosie and big brother to Nash. This young artist has been playing the guitar with his dad since he was big enough to hold one. When he’s not rocking the stage in his home state of Pennsylvania, he is spending time with his family and friends, four-wheeling, playing sports or hitting the woods with his mom, dad, Nash and family members enjoying God’s creation and loving the USA! Cruze Hosie is NRA Country’s next generation of true American patriots and supporters of the Constitution. Keep an eye on him and his dad, Nate Hosie, to see what is next for this young man. NRA Country’s Lisa Supernaugh had to chase down this young man backstage as everyone wanted a moment to high five him or talk to him about his performance at the NRA Country Concert in conjunction with the Great American Outdoor Show in Harrisburg, Pa., but he made time for us, along with his mom, dad and brother Nash.

LS: How old were you when you realized you wanted to play guitar?
CH: I was probably 3, mostly since I could hold a guitar. My dad and mom got me my first guitar.

LS: Who inspired you to play music?
CH: My daddy, Nate Hosie. He is an artist too and plays concerts, when he isn’t calling in turkeys, filming his TV show or playing with me and Nash.

LS: Who is your favorite artist?
CH: Me. [This was said with a big grin.]

LS: What is your favorite song to play on stage?
CH: “I Won’t Back Down” by Tom Petty.

LS: You had a great deer hunt this year; can you tell me a little bit about it?
CH: It was fun to be out with daddy and Poppa, but kind of “nervousing” cause I wanted to get a buck.

LS: If you had a choice, would you rather hunt deer or turkey?
CH: Deer.

LS: You have done so much already; what is next for Cruze Hosie?
CH: I want to get my first gobbler and my first coyote and play more concerts with my daddy.

After Ryan Petty lost his 14-year-old daughter, Alaina, to a 19-year-old mass murderer in Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in 2018 in Parkland, Fla., he wanted to know what happened. Most of all, he wanted to find the holes in the system to, as best we can, stop such horrors long before they occur.
