“We work for the members,” says Doug Hamlin, NRA CEO and executive vice president, in an exclusive interview with America’s 1st Freedom Editor in Chief Frank Miniter at the 154th NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits.

Hamlin, who was first elected to the post last year, was unanimously reelected at the 2025 NRA board of directors meeting following the this year’s edition of the annual meetings & exhibits.

Throughout his tenure as CEO and executive vice president, Hamlin has been working to grow NRA membership, to advance its legislative goals and to restore accountability and transparency to the organization. “We’re working day and night,” said Hamlin. “We’re working seven days a week to put this organization back in the place it should be.”

Hamlin also took the time to thank President Donald Trump (R) for his message to NRA members before discussing how the future is brighter than ever for this nation’s oldest civil-rights organization. Hamlin notes how, despite recent victories, this is no time to get complacent, as there is still much work to be done in the ongoing fight to protect our Second Amendment rights.

This exclusive interview is the first of many to come with A1F Editor in Chief Frank Miniter live from the newly minted Media Row at the NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits, known as the “Voices of the Second Amendment.”
