Jacob Bryant

Jacob Bryant is a singer/songwriter with a “won’t-sell-out” attitude. His honest lyrics and lived-in, rooted songs have gained him a more-than-solid following. Jacob is a Georgia native who started playing guitar at 8 years old, and his bluegrass roots are among his earliest music memories. Jacob’s storytelling, whether depicting an outlaw way of life in “More Than One Year,” dealing with changes and progress of the world in “Good Ol’ Boy,” or a song showing the struggles of becoming an artist in his most recent single “Amen,” shows his style of southern rock as well as traditional country. His hard work, faith in God and talent are moving him up the charts with his latest album “Bar Stool Preacher.” Jacob is a Life Member of the NRA and a patriot whose name is synonymous with the NRA Country lifestyle. He is, and will always remain, an unyielding supporter of the Second Amendment. Be sure to catch Jacob on the road at a concert near you. LS: Besides music and firearms, we have learned that you have another pastime that you enjoy and are quite good at?
JB: I’m big into fishing. I actually used to do tournament bass fishing, but now I enjoy going out on the boat with some buddies and wetting a line when I can. Some of the best memories I’ve made were out on the water.

LS: What is your favorite firearm for personal protection?
JB: My personal favorite for daily wear/carry is a Ruger LCP2 with a Clinger Holster and Pad. I also do carry a Taurus Millennium G2 9 mm around the house and when on the road.

LS: If there was one person in history that you could go back in time and meet, who would it be?
JB: Keith Whitley, for sure. I fell in love with his music from the first time I heard it. It would have been an honor to meet a legend like Keith because his music impacted me as I was growing up and influences the music I write to this day.

LS: You recently appeared on the Grand Ole Opry; how did it feel for you to step into that spotlight where so many had gone before you?
JB: It was extremely overwhelming, but also extremely amazing, all at the same time. I felt humbled and blessed to be there. There were a lot of different emotions going through my head. I was lucky enough to have a couple of mentors: my buddy, Mark Wills, who helped me get there and talked to me before the show, and then also Ricky Skaggs, a childhood hero of mine in the bluegrass world, called me and prayed over me before my set.

LS: How do you share your love for the outdoors with your family?
JB: I love to go to the beach with my family any chance I get. We always enjoy swimming and just soaking up the sun together. It’s the simple moments like that where I feel I’m sharing my love for being outdoors with the people I love most.
