In a rousing speech to the Turning Point USA's Young Women's Leadership Summit, sponsored by the NRA, Executive Vice President and CEO Wayne LaPierre encouraged the crowd of emerging young female leaders to never surrender their values and to remain committed to their goals, no matter the cost.

“Everywhere I go, more and more, I see powerful women leading the way in the fight for freedom,” LaPierre said. “Whether it’s on TV or in local communities or on college campuses, when I see our freedom challenged and threatened, I often see a strong, articulate, educated, savvy woman defending our rights.”

In this emerging age of protest and violence—where boundaries seem to no longer exist for the leftist extremists—LaPierre told the young women in the crowd that  that while it can be hard to take a principled stance for what is good and right, if they push on, they will succeed.

“When it comes to defending American freedom, you and American women like you are the tip of the spear,” he said. “So I say, God bless freedom loving American women. We need more of you and all of you!”

Met with standing cheers, LaPierre continued, stating that all women should have the pro-choice right of self-defense: “That’s especially true when it comes to our Second Amendment freedom,” he said. “Women know that when confronted in a dark parking garage or when the glass breaks at your house at 2 a.m., the surest way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good woman with a gun.”

The Incomparable, Inimitable Phil Schreier—1962-2025

The NRA took a serious hit on December 28th. We lost Phil Schreier, director of NRA Museums. He did everything the doctors asked of him and then some. But it wasn’t enough. Leukemia won, and we all lost.

No More Tax on Suppressors!

When President Donald Trump (R) signed the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBB) into law on July 4, 2025, he scheduled the end of the burdensome $200 excise tax imposed on suppressors, short-barreled firearms and “any other weapons” as defined by the National Firearms Act (NFA). That end came on January 1.

Armed Citizens are the “Rugged Individualists” Mamdani Despises

In his inauguration speech as the new mayor of New York City, Zohran Mamdani said, behind his characteristically easy smile, “We will replace the frigidity of rugged individualism with the warmth of collectivism.”
