NRA Media is proud to introduce Mike Sanford as executive director of NRA Media. Sanford has been part of the NRA staff for more than 31 years, serving most recently as NRA Media’s deputy executive director.

“I’m honored to be entrusted with the position of executive director for NRA Media,” said Sanford. “My career at NRA has been so rewarding and I’m excited to help guide NRA Media into its next chapter—expanding its reach, strengthening its impact and advancing the NRA mission in an ever-evolving media landscape.”

Throughout his time at the NRA, Sanford has held numerous key positions, including managing director of production and advertising operations. In his current assignment, he is responsible for the full scope of NRA Media’s business, including production, digital and print publishing and fiscal planning. Sanford has also been entrusted for many years with managing the Board of Directors election ballot and overseeing all print operations for our four official journal titles, which collectively exceed three million copies in print each month.

“It gives me great pleasure to announce the promotion of Mike Sanford to executive director of NRA Media,” said Doug Hamlin, NRA CEO & EVP. “Known for his steady hand, professional demeanor and collaborative leadership style, Mike is highly respected by staff, corporate partners and vendors alike. These qualities have served NRA Media well in the past and will no doubt guide it to continued success in the years ahead.”
