The Armed Citizen

A man in Chicago, Ill., was seated in his truck at nearly 6 a.m. on Dec. 5, 2022, smoking a cigarette with his window down, when a dark sedan pulled up next to him and two males got out while two remained in the vehicle. One man allegedly pointed a .45-cal. pistol with an extended magazine at his intended victim’s head while demanding property, but the man fought back, grabbing the gun. The assailant called out for help from the others with him, at which point the armed citizen in the truck pulled out his own firearm and fired three rounds. He struck two of the males in their shoulders and one in the temple. The driver of the crime vehicle sped off despite his head wound, but struck a fence, breaking the passenger’s leg in the wreck. Three of the perpetrators were charged with attempted robbery, while the fourth was still in the hospital. The vehicle was found to have been used in other robberies in the area as well. Residents in St. Charles, Mich., called police around 7:30 a.m. on Nov. 25, 2022, to report a “disorderly” man jumping on a car and yelling. However, before officers arrived, the man allegedly broke into a nearby home occupied by a 41-year-old woman and two children. Two neighbors who were concealed-carry-license holders rushed to the family’s aid and detained the crazed man at gunpoint. Police praised the neighbors’ intervention and said the home invader appeared to be under the influence of drugs. He was to be charged with home invasion and malicious destruction of property. Part 2: How the Mainstream Media Lost Touch With America—the Death of Local News

The demise of newspapers, small and large, has been well chronicled, but how this has impacted America’s most practical civil right, our right to keep and bear arms, has not often been considered.

Around 7 a.m. on Nov. 7, 2025, near Los Angeles, a 79-year-old Vietnam War veteran heard his duplex tenant screaming. He found a naked 30-year-old man had forced his way into the woman’s home.

The DOJ Civil Rights Division is Hiring Second Amendment Attorneys

After Harmeet Dhillon, assistant attorney general for the U.S. Department of Justice’s (DOJ) Civil Rights Division, was a guest on Gun Talk Media with Tom Gresham, NRA-ILA reported that Dhillon is “embracing a new style of litigation on behalf of the Second Amendment.”

Cynical Strategies To Subvert The Protection Of Lawful Commerce In Arms Act

Since President George W. Bush signed the bipartisan Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA) into law on Oct. 26, 2005, those bent on civilian disarmament have sought to bypass the legislation’s clear commands. In fact, 20 years later, gunmakers were fending off a frivolous nuisance suit from the city of Gary, Ind., filed in 1999, despite the PLCAA and state-analogue legislation.
